Waterfront programs at Hidden Bay take place at our large safe and beautiful sandy beach nestled in a quiet bay on Lake Shebeshekong . It is a place for campers to have fun while they are learning to become confident and skilled in the water.
Our canoeing and kayaking programs have been designed to provide attainable steps to enable campers to experience success while they are striving to achieve their HBLC levels.
Our qualified staff encourage, motivate and recognize the achievements of each camper and it is our expectation that they will go home better swimmers and more competent in the use of canoes and kayaks.
Day trips by canoe or kayak are part of each camper’s experience and include trip planning, many opportunities to work as a team, and lots of fun!
Campers at Hidden Bay have the opportunity each day to choose activities that they would like to do from arts and crafts, creative drama, eco adventures, initiative tasks, low ropes, photography, cooking, tae kwon do
Every activity is led by a Counsellor who will help each camper do the best that they can do!
In additional to new activities, each year staff create new and exciting dimensions to the program by including specialty themes for each day and for different meals.
Small group goal setting each morning, and evening “pond time” continue to be an integral part of each day.
